Disneyland Paris
Le Pays des Contes de Fées

Description
I had the opportunity to work on an exciting project as part of the refurbishment of the attraction Le Pays des Contes de Fées, located in Fantasyland at Disneyland Paris. This iconic attraction offers a boat ride through detailed miniatures recreating scenes from Disney’s most famous fairy tales. Closed for a year for a major renovation, the attraction now features three new scenes: Winnie the Pooh, Frozen, and Up. My role was to design a book illustrating the scenes of Tangled and Winnie the Pooh, as these two stories are located close to each other in the attraction. This book serves as a key element, introducing visitors to the worlds of these tales while respecting the graphic identity of each franchise. I conducted in-depth research on the visual styles of both films to fully immerse myself in their artistic specificities. After sketching by hand, I worked on composition and graphic details to produce a final harmonious design. A key aspect of this project was color selection. I collaborated with the sign painters from Disneyland Paris’ central workshops—renowned for their expertise—to choose durable NCS shades suitable for outdoor exposure. On-site monitoring ensured that my design came to life with precision and fidelity, thanks to their talent. My goal was to seamlessly integrate my creation into the Disney universe, ensuring thematic consistency and total immersion. The attraction reopened on August 30, 2024, welcoming visitors delighted by these new additions.
